A Heavy Head - Weary Heart
A heavy head, a morning bright,
Yet something doesn’t feel quite right.
No text from you, no sign of love,
No sweet words that we dreamed of.
I sent my heart in words so true,
A thousand times, "I miss you"
Yet silence stood, no words came back,
Not a call even to fill the lack.
Last night, I left, my parents called,
Returned to find you with them all.
Your friends, your game, your world so wide,
But where was I? Just cast aside.
I waited long, a simple sign,
A text, a call, "just to be mine"
But silence grew, no words were said,
Just echoes playing in my head.
And when you hurt, when words turned cold,
We chose no priority to hold.
You first refused, but time has shown,
Was your love ever fully grown?
You claim to change, to make things right,
But four days pass, you're out of sight.
You say you love me, say you care,
Yet here I stand, lost in despair.
You make me question what I choose,
Is this my love, or love I lose?
